Hair one way, skirt the other.

A witch leans into a stride across the middle of the disc, her wide-brimmed hat tipped low, her hair blown out to the left in long ribboned strands while the pleated skirt swings the other way. She carries the besom low across both hands, bristles trailing off the left edge.

Everything is worked in warm pewter and copper: a scrolled border of acanthus curls, oak and maple leaves in faded orange and sage, acorns, and three ribbed pumpkins along the bottom rim. The ground behind her is dark charcoal with a fine pebbled grain. The depth, the shadow under her sleeve, the tool marks in the metal are all printed onto a flat aluminium circle, so the surface stays smooth under your hand.

Hang it on the front door from the first cool week of September through Samhain, or keep it up all year in a reading corner. The muted copper suits brick, bare wood and dried grasses. A good pick for the friend whose porch is already full of gourds by mid-August.
