Ghosts crowd the lettering.

Two words fill the panel in tall silver letters with heavy drop shadow, the kind of Victorian display type you would find on a fairground booth. The metal in them is scratched and streaked, and orange light rakes in from behind so the edges glow.

Around the words the dark is busy. Cobwebs hang in the corners, a bat crosses above the first word, and a pair of narrow orange eyes opens in the black at the top right. Ghosts drift in from both sides — round white shapes with black mouths, one lit purple, one orange, one peering out from under a web. At the bottom sits a small house with every window burning, carved pumpkins along its front, and a row of little watchers in the grass.

Horizontal and readable from a distance, so it does the job on a front door, a porch under cover, or a stair wall for a party. Pack it away in November or leave it on a basement door. A gift for the house on the street that goes all out.
