Gold swirls right through the cat.

The cat is a silhouette, seated in profile with the tail curled round and one ear tipped forward, but the black of it is filled with fine gold spirals, so the shape reads as a cut-out and a decorated panel at the same time. It sits on a dark reflective surface with a thin gold line marking the horizon.

A gold crescent moon hangs at the upper left, its curve packed with the same spiral work. Clouds bank up on both sides in dusty blue, mauve and rose, each one edged in gold curls, with eight-pointed stars set in the gaps. The border is black scrollwork carrying more gold stars. The whole thing is printed onto one flat aluminium disc and nothing on it stands proud.

The gold does most of the work, so give it a plain, reasonably lit wall: a bedroom, a landing, the space above a hall table. It is night-themed without being a Halloween piece. It suits anyone who named their cat after a moon goddess.
