MERRY runs across the top in bold white letters and GOTHMAS across the bottom, both set on black. Between them a bone-white skull faces straight out with a compass star inked on the forehead, drawn in the heavy outline and flat shading of old tattoo flash.
A pale crescent curves behind the skull from top to bottom. Crimson poinsettias, roses and holly crowd in from both sides with dark cherries and a red seven-pointed star among them. There is no colour here but red, black and cream. The linework sits flat on the panel, printed rather than raised. Both words are set in a heavy slab face and curve with the rim, so they read cleanly from a few paces back.
It hangs well on a black door, above a bar cart, or in a stairwell where the lettering can be read from below. The palette is Christmas by colour only, so it does not look stranded in January either. Right for the friend whose holiday playlist is entirely doom metal.

SYMBOLIC MEANING
Why This Piece Feels Meaningful.
The piece is driven primarily by a gothic visual language: dark romance, contrast and ornate atmosphere. Any symbolic motifs work inside that larger aesthetic rather than reading as separate meanings.
