A black cat sits upright at the center, tail curled around her feet, one gold eye visible in profile. Around her neck is a broad Egyptian collar in turquoise, coral and gold, ending in a red stone drop with fine gold fringe below it. Behind her a great sun disc rises, its rays drawn as a wheel of pale gold and cream.
Either side, lotus-topped columns frame seated figures in blue and gold headdresses, with pyramids and desert beyond them. Two bands of hieroglyphs circle the outside, cut by a red disc at the top, and a mosaic border in turquoise, coral and gold closes the edge. The panel is gold, black and turquoise with almost nothing else in it.
It does well in a window that catches morning sun, since the disc behind her carries the design. Suits an altar shelf kept for Bastet or Sekhmet, or a room already leaning Kemetic. A good gift for a cat person whose practice runs Egyptian rather than Wiccan.
