A witch shows in profile against a bone-white crescent, chin level, one eye visible under a black wide-brim hat dressed with small blooms. Her hair falls in long copper waves and then breaks into scrollwork that fills the bottom of the disc. At the tip of the crescent an orange flame twists up and resolves into an open-mouthed skull. Small bats cross the pale ground and a single spider hangs on its thread near the top. The frame is heavy black baroque scroll shot through with the same copper.

Copper, cream and black is the entire palette. The relief look — the curl of every scroll, the depth in her sleeve — is printed onto one flat panel.
