Cowled cat, gold at the throat.

A black cat sits upright in a hooded cloak, the cowl pulled up over its ears and the cloth falling in heavy folds down both sides. Only the face shows: gold-amber eyes, white whiskers, a small pink nose. The front paws are held together at the chest, almost as though in prayer.

Gold chains cross the chest and gather at a rose clasp, and a fat gold pendant hangs from them with a tassel of beads below it. Two gold skulls sit at the bottom corners, level with the paws. Behind everything is a panel of dense baroque filigree, all leaves and scrolls, with a faint bat shape worked into the pattern. The scene is printed to look like carved and gilded relief on a flat sheet.

It belongs above an altar table, on the wall of a tarot corner, or in a hallway where the gold can catch lamplight. Good for someone who works with familiars, or for the friend whose cat genuinely does seem to run the household.
