Three moons run across the top in warm bone white: a full moon at the center, a crescent turned in from each side. Directly below them a pale death's-head moth spreads its wings, the skull mark clear on its body and every wing panel traced with fine dark veining.

The ground is deep aubergine worked over with gold ornament, starbursts at the sides, thin arcs and stems reaching down toward the base. Amethyst points push up along the bottom edge, and fine gold lines run out from beneath the moth like roots.
