An oval medallion inside a twisted rope border, cast in sterling silver and then oxidised so the recesses go near black. On the front, Hecate stands as three joined figures in one robe, six hands holding torches, daggers and a key, with hounds crouched in the grass at her hem and serpents rising beside them. Above her head sit the triple moon and a triskele. Turn it over and the reverse carries her strophalos wheel, a pentagram locked inside a maze of curling lines, flanked by two crescents with crossed torches below, and the S925 stamp along the top. Nothing on either face is left plain.
Heavy, dark and clearly devotional, it suits altar work and a Samhain rite more than a lunch meeting. A good gift for someone who works with Hecate at the crossroads, or for anyone building a collection of goddess medallions. Wear it long and it can be turned to whichever face suits the night.
