A witch stands three-quarter on in a wide black hat whose point curls back on itself, her long dark hair falling over a robe embroidered in silver thread. One palm is raised and a golden orb burns in it, the only warm colour in the picture. Behind her hangs an enormous pale full moon, ringed by a band of constellations and small moon phases, all set against navy. Silver charms trail from the hat brim. Her robe is worked with pale scrollwork and tiny stars, and the constellation ring behind her is joined with fine ruled lines rather than painted freehand.

Good under a scrying mirror, a candle for the full moon, or simply as a cover for a dresser you use as an altar. It runs from 50x50cm up to 120x120cm, so the same design works as a mat or a table cover. Keep candles in a holder or on a heat-proof dish rather than straight on the cloth.
