Witch House runs across the lower half in fat, slightly wobbly letters with a hand-cut look to them. Above stands a narrow cottage with a steep roof, one pale window and a crooked chimney. A pointed hat leans in from the left, and four bats cross the upper half.
Everything is a single dark pewter grey: recessed background, raised letters catching the light, faint vines and leaf curls scratched into the field around the edges. A ring of rivets runs the whole way around the rim like the edge of a shield. The lettering and the rivets are printed onto a flat aluminium circle.
Hang it beside the front door, on a garden gate, or on a bedroom door, indoors or under cover. Because it is grey on grey with no orange anywhere, it never looks like the Halloween box came out early. The letters read clearly from a few steps back, which is more than most decorative plaques manage. Good for a housewarming, or for a teenager who wants their door labeled properly.
