Cream parchment ground, and across the top run tall oval frames in tarnished gold, each holding a black castle silhouette against a burning red sky. Cobwebs stretch from one frame to the next with spiders hanging off them, bats and crows fill the gaps, and small skulls are dotted through.
The hem is where it turns darker: a black graveyard silhouette of leaning crosses and bare trees, a pale gothic lantern standing at the front, and more framed portraits - a vampire couple in one, a fanged woman in another, an open coffin lined in red in the third. Red is the only strong colour on the whole piece, and nothing on it is raised - the gilt frames and the cobwebs are printed flat.
Bring it out for a Halloween dinner, a vampire party, or a horror night when the snacks need somewhere to sit. Round sizes suit a side table, the long ones cover a full dining table. A gift for the friend who rewatches Dracula every October.
