Shadowy Silhouette Gothic Bat Metal Sign Halloween Decoration

A single bat hangs at the center with its wings fully open, reaching almost to the frame on both sides. The membranes are slate blue with darker veins and small orange claw tips; the face turns out, ears up, eyes lit orange, mouth open on fine teeth. Behind it a full moon glows amber-white and cratered. Moon and bat sit on flat black, ringed by a band of deep red, with red scrollwork curling out from the base and repeating at the top. The outer frame is a heavy scalloped black.

The wing veins and the frame are printed to look like cast iron relief. The sign is a thin flat sheet and weighs almost nothing on the hook.

Best on a front door through October, or on a bedroom door year-round if red and black is already the palette. The bat is drawn as an animal rather than a cartoon, so it suits someone who keeps bat imagery for Samhain and the underworld, not just for a party.
