Nearly the whole panel is worked in copper and bronze. A black crow perches in profile on a bare branch that runs across the middle, tail hanging low, while a second crow flies in from the upper left with its wings spread wide. In front of them a bank of fat pumpkins fills the bottom edge, ribbed and gleaming, with berry clusters and maple leaves packed between them. Past a rail fence sits a small farmhouse and barn under a flat sky with a few carved clouds. The border is rust orange with corner holes.
The relief, the metallic sheen and the sharp leaf edges are all printed onto a flat panel. The picture imitates hammered copper rather than being it.
There is no lettering anywhere on it, which makes this the one in the group that can stay up from September through Thanksgiving. Hang it over a sideboard or a kitchen table, or on a covered porch beside the real gourds.
