A ring of diamond panels.

Everything here is one warm oak tone. A broad tree fills the middle, branches reaching to both sides with small star-flowers and berries tucked among the needles, and a trunk that twists down into a wide braid of roots along the bottom. Around it runs a border of diamond panels, each one carrying its own small pattern.

The numerals sit out on that border rather than on the dial itself, in a pale silver that lifts off the wood; a couple of them break up where the panel pattern runs behind. The whole relief effect is printed flat, so the deep grooves are shadow and highlight, not real cut wood.

Warm enough for a living room or a stairwell, and a steady choice for a Yule or Mabon gift when you want the symbol without anything obviously spooky about it.
