Her robe is slate blue-grey, her hair long and auburn under a soft pointed hat, and a woven basket sits on the ground to her right. A bare tree leans in from the left, its bark knotted and split, and gold lichen crusts the upper branches. Behind her a misty lake opens out toward low hills and a warm apricot sky, with a few birds low over the water. The log has split lengthwise at the near end. Grey and gold throughout, with the depth printed rather than moulded into the metal.
