He came dressed in gold.

A black long-haired cat sits square to the viewer, tail curled around the front paws, green-gold eyes level with yours. Across the chest hangs a heavy collar of gold plates and drops with a domed blue stone at the centre and smaller stones set either side.

Behind him a gold mandala opens across a deep navy field, scattered with tiny alchemical marks and crescents, warm light glowing out from behind his head and shoulders. All that gold is printed line work on a flat panel rather than any kind of leaf or plating. The whiskers are picked out in white against the navy, and the mandala runs off the edge of the disc rather than stopping at a border.
