This cat faces you directly, sitting square with amber-gold eyes and a long tail sweeping around its feet. Behind it a huge luminous moon takes up most of the inner circle, cratered and cold, with a faint constellation line drawn across the lower sky.
The ring around the edge is the reason to buy it. A full circle of roundels runs the rim and each one holds its own small night: a gold crescent over blue, a red-orange nebula, a green-grey planet with bands across it, a burst of white stars. They alternate the whole way round in violet, cobalt, amber and rose, framed in thin gold leading against a black outer rim.
Hang it where the sun comes through hard — the roundels are what light up first. It suits someone who tracks the moon, and it is a neat pick for a birthday gift when you know the person keeps a cat but you do not know much else about their taste.

The Black Cat leads the design as an archetype of mystery, independence and familiar lore. Other gothic or seasonal details build atmosphere around that central character.
