A witch in a purple robe and pointed hat rides her broom across the face of a gold full moon, hair and cloak streaming behind her, a teal ring holding the moon at the centre and her broom trailing straw a quarter of the way round. Around that runs a heavy baroque frame: silver clouds rolling in tight curls, gold acanthus scrolls, eight gold stars and small red roses set at the compass points, with painted stars filling the gaps between.
A crescent with a sleeping face tucks into the lower left corner. Every curl, star and rose is printed to look like cast metal - the panel underneath stays flat and weighs almost nothing. At a distance the frame does most of the work.
Hangs well on a door through the long nights of Yule, and works just as hard in October. Good gift for someone who likes their witchcraft ornate rather than stripped back, and who has a hook already waiting.
