A moth sits open at the center with cobalt and sapphire wings, each one carrying a pale ringed eyespot and a scalloped cream border. Its body is small and furred, the antennae fanned out. Behind it a burst of white light throws thin rays outward, with two four-pointed stars off to the right.
A thick gold crescent curls around the whole picture, filled with rolled scrollwork, small rosettes and a single flower set at the bottom, and the outer band is midnight blue worked in the same curling pattern. Gold, ink blue and that one bright center are the entire palette. The frame's carved depth is printed flat onto the panel.
It hangs well over a bed, at the end of a shelf, or in a small entry where the gold catches whatever light there is. Nothing about it is seasonal, so it stays through the year. Suits the person who buys moon things by reflex and has run out of wall for crescents.
