Bare twigs, violet star.

The pentagram is built from stripped wood in purple and plum, laid over a soft white and pink centre that looks lit from behind. A wreath of thin dark branches loops around it, hung with tiny berries and small round lights in green, blue, pink and gold. Nothing else fills the frame, so the middle stays open and pale.

It is printed flat on clear glass, so the glow is paint and the branches have no texture at all. Around the print the glass is left clear with a bevelled edge, which is where the light really breaks. The berries are the only strong colour in it.

The palest of the pentacle designs, and the easiest to hang on a white or frosted tree. Also good in a bedroom window or above a bedside altar. Glass, so pick a hook nothing will knock into. Pale enough to vanish into frost-coloured lights.
