Bubbles of colour ring the owl.

A horned owl faces straight out with its ear tufts up and its wings folded, feathers running brown and cream down the front and shading into purple and teal along the wing edges. The eyes are large and amber, and a small pale gem sits at the centre of its chest where the breast feathers meet.

Behind it is a nebula rather than a night sky: violet and blue cloud shot through with gold and a few points of light burning out of it. The frame is the detail worth noting. A gold ring runs around the scene, and set into it are dozens of round bubbles filled with opal colour in pink, green and blue, with small flowers holding the ring together at top, bottom and sides.

It reads celestial more than spooky, so it hangs happily above a desk or in a stairwell all year. Owls stand for night sight and patience through most of European folklore. An easy gift for a birdwatcher, or for anyone who claims the owl as their familiar.

Returns & guarantee

If it is not what we showed you. Damaged, the wrong item, or materially different from the photographs — tell us within 30 days of delivery. One email and one clear photo is enough to start. You choose a refund or a replacement, and in many cases we settle it from the photo and you keep the item.

If it never arrives. If your parcel has not reached you 60 days after it shipped, we refund your order in full.
