Faceted stones the size of coins.

A witch rides side-saddle across a full moon, and she is not a young one — the face under the pointed hat is drawn as a skull, hands and wrists reduced to bone. Her robes are grey-blue and heavily embroidered, boots buckled at the ankle, and the broom bristles hang wide beneath her. Two bats cross the moon behind her shoulder.

What makes it is the border. A wide pewter ring is set with big faceted stones in ruby red, emerald, sapphire and amethyst, each in its own ornate mount, with a fine line of tiny clear rhinestones running around the inner edge. It is deliberately overdressed, and it works. The stones and their mounts are printed, not set.

This one is squarely a Samhain piece: a front door, a hallway window, a spot where trick or treaters get a good look. The colour in the border keeps it visible after dark when a plain black silhouette would disappear. It also suits anyone who prefers their witches old, bony and entirely unbothered by it.

  • Material: clear acrylic, printed in colour, hung from a cord through two metal grommets
  • Sizes: 15x15CM and 20x20CM
  • Care: wipe clean with a soft dry cloth
  • Note: the stained-glass effect is printed onto clear acrylic, not leaded glass

SYMBOLIC MEANING

Why This Piece Feels Meaningful.

The piece is driven primarily by a gothic visual language: dark romance, contrast and ornate atmosphere. Any symbolic motifs work inside that larger aesthetic rather than reading as separate meanings.
