A witch rides her broom across a full moon that takes up most of the panel, drawn almost entirely in silhouette: pointed hat, long skirt trailing into a ragged hem, one boot pointed behind her. Her hair is the exception, streaming back in orange, pink and teal.
Bats cross on the left, a cobweb hangs in a bare tree on the right, and a cat sits beside a leaning cross below. Three jack-o'-lanterns burn along the bottom edge among purple roses, and the speckled grey border has small pumpkins and mushrooms worked into it.
Hang it in a front window for the last two weeks of October, where the pale moon shows from the street after dark. The grey and orange sit well with dried corn, gourds and anything already on the porch. It suits a first Samhain in a new place, or a gift for the neighbour who starts decorating the whole house at the end of September.
