Gothic Dark Style Bat Carved Vine Skull Decorative Photo Frame For Halloween Wall Decor

An upright frame with baroque scrolls breaking out of every corner, and at the top centre a bat with both wings spread across the crest, membranes ribbed, ears up. The frame is matte black and quite deep, with a plain stepped lip holding the panel inside it.

That panel is a flat printed image, not a modelled piece: a pale skull and the top of a rib cage on a near-black ground, with ivy trailing over the crown of the head and down through the ribs in yellow-green. The maker's size drawing shows the panel as a separate insert, 13 by 10 centimetres.

It works on a mantel wall, in a cluster of botanical prints, or above a shelf of pressed specimens. A gift for someone who likes their Halloween closer to a curiosity cabinet than to orange plastic.
