Glamorous Black Cat Acrylic Suncatcher

Colour ripples over the tree line.

A long-haired black cat fills the lower half, chest and ruff drawn in feathery strokes, head turned to the right and green eyes fixed on something outside the frame. It sits in fresh snow with snow-loaded pines behind it on both sides. The sky above is an aurora, sweeping from teal through green and yellow into a violet edge, spiralling once at the top of the circle.

Everything is outlined in the heavy dark leading of a stained-glass panel, and the narrow border picks up the same greens and blues in small irregular panes. The colour is at its best with the sun directly behind it.

This is the winter piece of the set, and it suits a Yule window or a cabin-feeling room that keeps its decorations up past December. Give it to someone who likes their black cats without any Halloween attached, or who spends a lot of time looking north on cold nights.
