A witch flies left across the panel on a long broom, back arched, skirt whipping behind her, hat swept to a fine point. Three bats fly ahead of her toward a huge orange moon that sits high on the left, its craters worked in shallow ridges.

Bare black trees frame both sides, and the ground below is dark with a scattering of gold speckles where light catches the brush. The tone stays warm throughout, burnt orange sky, bronze rim, dark brown foliage, and the raised look of the whole scene, moon craters included, is printed onto a flat aluminium disc rather than pressed into it.

The heavy border makes it read like an old foundry plaque from a distance, which is a good match for brick, dark wood or a covered porch. It earns its keep from September through Samhain and looks right beside pumpkins. Give it to the person whose front door is decorated before anyone else's on the street.
