The dragonfly runs straight down the middle of the dial, wings held level so the tips reach almost to both edges. The wings are pearly, shifting green to blue to violet, veined in fine dark lines; the body is segmented silver and gold, and the head carries two round teal eyes.

Behind it sits a dense purple mandala, all scrollwork and small round orbs that catch the light like beads, with two carved-looking rosettes low down. The numbers one to twelve are white and sit clear of the wings. Black hands and a slim red second hand turn from the centre. Everything, including the beaded texture, is printed flat.

Dragonflies stand for change and short seasons, which suits a bedroom or a studio wall better than a hallway. A good gift for someone in the middle of a move or a new start.
