Maple leaves in the same burnt orange scatter across a cracked grey ground behind her, and a bat is pressed into the stone at her shoulder. Twisted black vines with orange highlights ring the edge. Her face is the only unbroken surface in a picture otherwise full of cracks.
It is printed to look like carved slate picked out in colour - shadow banked under the hat brim, each leaf given a lifted edge. In hand it is a flat panel, light on the hook.
