A witch stands in profile with a besom staff in one hand, her hat pointed and tipped back, her hair and skirts streaming to the right in long ribbons of teal, orange and blue. Every shape is outlined in black and filled with a single flat tone, the way a leaded window is drawn.
Behind her an enormous yellow moon takes up most of the panel, cut into pale gold segments with curling clouds worked across it. The rest of the sky is a dark blue starfield, and wildflowers in red, pink and orange crowd the bottom edge beside a small cauldron. A narrow bronze filigree rim closes it. The moon is the one area left largely open, which stops the pattern from filling every inch.
It comes alive against a light wall, or near a window where the yellow can take the sun. Nothing here is tied to one month, so it can hang year round in a hallway or above a work table. Good for someone drawn to the colour rather than the gloom.
