A pale gold full moon fills the sky behind her with bats crossing it high up and bare branches reaching in from the left. On the right a fir tree burns with warm orange lights. A black cat sits at her feet in the dark grass with its face lifted to her. A chipped stone-look rim rings the outside. Her face is the smallest detail here and the only part painted in warm skin tones.
This one belongs somewhere with low light: a bedroom, a landing, the wall behind a candle shelf. The red and gold hold up right through Yule and well past it. Give it to someone who marks the solstice rather than the twenty-fifth.
