This one hangs the wide way.

A dark owl is caught with both wings fully spread, every primary feather picked out separately, talons drawn up beneath it and gold eyes fixed forward. The background is black marble scattered with gold leaves — oak, rowan, small five-petalled flowers — laid thickly enough to fill every corner. The bird is close to the only thing on the panel that is not gold. The leaves are drawn large, some of them as long as the owl's wing.

The panel is landscape rather than portrait, so it wants a wide stretch of wall. The carved, layered look is printed flat: gold ink and painted shadow, no leaf and no raised edge.

It suits the wall above a sideboard, a headboard, or a long shelf where a tall sign would look wrong. The black and gold reads formal enough for a dining room and dark enough for an altar wall. Good Yule gift for someone with big empty walls. Lit from one side, the gold separates cleanly from the marble.

Returns & guarantee

If it is not what we showed you. Damaged, the wrong item, or materially different from the photographs — tell us within 30 days of delivery. One email and one clear photo is enough to start. You choose a refund or a replacement, and in many cases we settle it from the photo and you keep the item.

If it never arrives. If your parcel has not reached you 60 days after it shipped, we refund your order in full.
