A black cat sits square in the middle of the panel with his front paws set on a small stack of old books, one red-brown and one darker, spines out and edges frayed. He looks straight ahead, orange eyes with slit pupils, ears up, tail curled round behind him. The fur is drawn in short combed strokes with gold catching along the shoulder and flank.

The ground behind is aged gold, cracked and scraped like old gilding, with a crescent moon set at the upper right. An ornate frame runs around the whole panel in that same worn gold, chipped at the corners so a darker layer shows through. The depth on the cat, the thickness of the books and the molding on the frame are printed onto a flat sheet.

Portrait shape, and it suits a study, the end of a bookcase, or the wall beside a reading chair. Cat and grimoire is the oldest pairing in the whole aesthetic. A good gift for a reader whose own cat insists on sitting on whatever is open.

Returns & guarantee

If it is not what we showed you. Damaged, the wrong item, or materially different from the photographs — tell us within 30 days of delivery. One email and one clear photo is enough to start. You choose a refund or a replacement, and in many cases we settle it from the photo and you keep the item.

If it never arrives. If your parcel has not reached you 60 days after it shipped, we refund your order in full.
