A gold crescent carries a calm face in profile, eyes half closed, its inner edge patterned with scrolls and beads. A black cat sits in the curve of it, tail wrapped forward, one amber eye turned toward you.
Gold stars in three sizes fill the dark grey ground around them, some flat, some rounded like beads. A wide border of gold scrollwork and more stars finishes the disc. Everything is drawn with the deep shadows and hard highlights of cast metal, but the panel is flat printed aluminium and weighs almost nothing in the hand.
