The whole disc is worked in grey stone tones except for one thing: the witch's dress and pointed hat, which are deep red. She stands in profile facing right, hair falling in thick dark waves down her back, the skirt swept out behind her.
A white full moon fills the sky. On the left a fir carries red baubles, a ribbon bow and a gold star; on the right a bare tree reaches across the top. A black cat sits at her feet, looking up. It is styled as chiselled plaster with deep shadow in every fold, printed flat onto the panel. The moon is the flattest area on the disc, which is what lets the red carry all the attention it gets.
The restrained palette makes this the one for a room that is not already loud: over a sideboard, beside a mirror, on a dark front door for December. It suits a Yule mantel and comes down clean afterwards. A good gift for someone who dislikes bright Christmas decor.
Material: aluminium sign, fade-resistant for indoor or covered outdoor use
Sizes: 8x8 inch and 12x12 inch
Care: wipe clean with a dry cloth
Note: the raised, carved look is printed onto a flat panel
The Black Cat leads the design as an archetype of mystery, independence and familiar lore. Other gothic or seasonal details build atmosphere around that central character.
