The frame is an open circle with elder futhark runes cut into it all the way round, blackened so the characters stand out against the polished silver. Inside, three fat spiral arms sweep out from the centre in a triskele, and at the hub sits a small triquetra with its knot darkened. Each spiral arm ends in a round medallion holding its own tree of life, roots and branches picked out in fine oxidised lines. Three trees, three arms, three points on the knot. The back is left smooth, so it lies flat against the skin.
The whole pendant is about the size of a large coin and reads as Norse and Celtic at once, so it suits anyone drawn to both traditions rather than making them pick one. A solid gift for Yule, a rune reader, or someone starting to work with the triquetra.
