Owl

🦉 Night sight, patience and study. The owl is the familiar people choose when the practice is quiet and bookish rather than dramatic, and it turns up here across round and rectangular metal signs, wall clocks, acrylic suncatchers, quilt bedding and blankets.

Snowy owls dominate the metal work, set against cream fretwork, teal grounds with braided gold rope, frosted pines and cathedral rose windows. Several pair the bird with a skull, which reads as scholarship and mortality together rather than as horror.

Quilt sets and blankets take the same birds to the bed and the sofa, and the acrylic suncatchers hang the owl in a window so the daylight comes through its wings. Wall clocks are the format worth noticing: an owl face works on a dial in a way most animals do not, because the eyes sit where you already look.

🌙 Hang one at Yule from owl ornaments, see every cut format in signs, the metal range in metal signs, and the dials on their own in wall clocks.
