A snowy owl perches on a bare branch dead centre, white with dark chevron flecks down the breast and wing, eyes small and dark. Two snow-laden firs stand to either side and a stand of thin trunks rises behind, all drawn in white against a flat black field speckled with falling snow.
The frame is the striking part: a wide cream ring of pierced scrollwork and curling vine, cut open in places so it reads as fretwork laid over the scene. There is no colour anywhere, only cream, black and the grey between. The size chart gives 8 in across, aluminium, pre-drilled, HD printed. Nothing in that frame is pierced through; the openings are printed, and the panel behind them stays solid.
Bring it out for Yule and the long cold stretch after, on a mantel easel or hung in a window recess where the black field goes deep. It sits well beside evergreen, cotton stems and white candles. A calm winter gift that does not read as Christmas.
Material: aluminium sign, fade-resistant for indoor or covered outdoor use
