Collection: CHRISTMAS

🌲 Yule ran long before the modern holiday borrowed the tree, so decorating one with older symbols is less of a contradiction than it sounds. This is the pagan Yule decor range: ceramic and glass ornaments first, then tree skirts, metal signs, round rugs and knit sweatshirts.

Winter owls appear more than anything else, on frosted pine and gold-star grounds, alongside moon phases, triquetra knotwork, black cats and flying witches. The palette runs cream, white, gold and deep green rather than red.

The knit sweatshirts are the one apparel item in here, cut in the ugly-sweater tradition but with knotwork instead of reindeer. Ceramic ornaments need a sturdy branch and hold weight well; glass reads better strung near lights, where it picks them up. Tree skirts cover the stand and finish the base, which is the part most people leave undone.

🌙 Ornaments split into pagan Yule ornaments, witchy ornaments and gothic ornaments, and the base is covered by tree skirts. · Christmas Stockings
