Eight versions of one idea. The brightest is a triquetra inside a crescent, ringed by Celtic braid, the whole thing lit in rainbow enamel over a snowy green ground. The darkest is slate gray: two clawed hands reaching across a pentagram, roses cut faintly into the background. Between them sit a stained-glass-style pentagram in purple and blue, a goddess figure under her three moon phases, a dragonfly crossing a crescent, and a deep blue pentacle set in a bronze frame with a hanging ring.
The braid, the beveled star and the gemstones are printed to look like carved relief on a flat panel. Nothing here is molded or set by hand.
Sized for the wall above an altar or the back of a bedroom door. Pentacle and triquetra both read as protective symbols in Wiccan and Celtic tradition, which makes this a safe gift for someone newly out of the broom closet. The rainbow version is the loudest of the eight; the slate one is what to buy when the wall is already busy.
