It landed on cracked plaster.

One large butterfly holds the middle of the panel with all four wings open flat. The wings shade from pale sea-blue at the body out to grey at the tips, veined in black, and a row of round eyespots in orange, cream and charcoal runs along the lower edge of each wing. The body is a thick banded grey, the antennae thin and slightly curled.

Broad saw-toothed green leaves push in from the sides, with two orange-red blossoms and a few small berries on dark twigs. The ground behind is a soft grey-green covered in a fine web of cracks, like an old glaze. Holding it all is a frame the colour of weathered driftwood, its corners left rough. Everything, cracks included, is printed flat to look like carved and painted relief.

This one belongs somewhere green: a kitchen wall, a shelf of pots, the wall by a window where the plants live. It reads spring rather than spooky, which makes it an easy gift for a moth-and-mushroom person who does not want the whole house going gothic.

Returns & guarantee

If it is not what we showed you. Damaged, the wrong item, or materially different from the photographs — tell us within 30 days of delivery. One email and one clear photo is enough to start. You choose a refund or a replacement, and in many cases we settle it from the photo and you keep the item.

If it never arrives. If your parcel has not reached you 60 days after it shipped, we refund your order in full.
