Knotwork beasts pace the border.
Two colours only: white line on flat black. The centre is a triskele of three curved horns locked together, filled with tight Celtic knotwork and set inside a ring of runic characters. A second rune ring circles that, so the middle of the table reads like the boss of a carved shield.
Along the sides, long-limbed Norse beasts stretch out in interlace - snouts, paws and tails knotted through one another - with triquetras at the corners and a plain black field beyond the printed square. The panel stays central whichever length you pick. Nothing is shaded - every shape is either solid white or solid black, which is what gives it the look of an old carved panel.
It suits a Norse feast, a blot, or any table where the mead actually gets poured. Severe enough to leave down year-round if that is your taste. A solid gift for a heathen household, or for the reenactor who owns the drinking horn already.
