An opal at the crossing.

Two trunks twist around each other in the middle and split the circle in half. Left is autumn: red and gold maple, a sleeping sun face. Right is night: purple blossom, silver leaves, a crescent moon with a carved profile over a starfield. The two skies meet along the trunk with no hard line between them.

Where the roots cross, a triquetra holds a pale opal-coloured stone, and small pentacles sit up in the branches. The border is a narrow band of vine and knot with more pentacles and moons spaced around it, every line picked out in fine metallic ink.

Lay it under the Yule tree with the trunk through the centre opening, presents on the leaves. It also works as a round cloth under a low table at the equinoxes, when the two halves suit the date. A strong gift for someone drawn to balance imagery. It is busy, but it keeps a clear centre for the trunk.

Returns & guarantee

If it is not what we showed you. Damaged, the wrong item, or materially different from the photographs — tell us within 30 days of delivery. One email and one clear photo is enough to start. You choose a refund or a replacement, and in many cases we settle it from the photo and you keep the item.

If it never arrives. If your parcel has not reached you 60 days after it shipped, we refund your order in full.
