Sun Moon Acrylic Sign Window Decor Celestial Wall Hanging Art

Two sleepers share one disc.

Two faces in profile overlap at the centre of a round panel. On the left, a slate-blue moon face with long hair that dissolves into gold spirals and small crescents. On the right, an ivory sun face ringed with flame-shaped gold rays. Both have their eyes closed. A little gold sun rosette sits low on the left, and the whole ground is a near-black that makes the gilding look like it stands off the surface.

There is no bright colour anywhere. It is black, gold and two skin tones, which is why it reads as an old cast plaque rather than a novelty. Even the border is worked in the same black, a shallow band of leaf scrolls running round the outside.

Restrained enough for a living room or hallway window, and a good marker for the equinoxes, when sun and moon share the day evenly. It also does the rare job of looking deliberate in a room nobody has decorated. Suits anyone who works with solar and lunar cycles together.
