Spirit Board Planchette Shower Curtain - Gothic Moon Arch Decor

The planchette is the centrepiece here, not the moon

A gold arch fills the centre of the curtain, and inside it hangs a large planchette, the teardrop pointer from a spirit board, drawn in fine filigree with a round window at its middle. An arc of moon phases follows the inner curve of the arch, a full moon rests above it, and two big crescents flank that moon, each carrying an engraved face. An eight-pointed star sits behind the planchette, with thin orbital rings and dotted lines circling out from it.

Under the arch stands a draped table: lit taper candles in gold candlesticks, a sphere on a stand, a shallow dish, and clusters of pointed crystals, some purple and some clear. Dark full-petalled flowers open along the cloth, and more flower shapes are woven into the drape at the bottom. Small leaves and fronds curl inside the gold scrollwork. Chains cross the top band carrying crystal points and plain metal rings, and one small crescent swings from a chain at bottom centre. The ground is a midnight navy sky scattered with stars, so the antique gold and the violet crystals read clearly from across a room.

Suits a dark bathroom already leaning gothic, where deep colour on the walls is normal.
