The book stays open beneath him.

A black cat sits square in the middle with both front paws planted on an open book, pages spread and printed with fine text. The eyes are hot amber and level with yours. He wears a gold collar with a lit gem at the throat, and behind him gold art-nouveau scrollwork curls out to fill the dark charcoal ground. The outer ring carries a band of knotwork in the same gold, and the small hanging hole sits neatly at the top of the circle.

The metalwork, the fur and the curled page edges are all printed to look like carved relief on one flat panel.

Made for the room where the books are. Hang it over a desk, at the end of a shelf, or beside an altar where a candle picks up the gold. It suits a familiar who sits on whatever you are trying to read, which is most of them. The larger size carries the fine knotwork on the rim far better.

Returns & guarantee

If it is not what we showed you. Damaged, the wrong item, or materially different from the photographs — tell us within 30 days of delivery. One email and one clear photo is enough to start. You choose a refund or a replacement, and in many cases we settle it from the photo and you keep the item.

If it never arrives. If your parcel has not reached you 60 days after it shipped, we refund your order in full.
