Rust Moon & Carved Jack-o-Lantern Pumpkin Black Cat Metal Sign Halloween Decorations

Rust moon, one carved gourd.

A black cat sits square on top of a fat carved pumpkin, front paws together, tail curling up behind it into a loose hook. The eyes are amber, the whiskers drawn in pale lines, the fur worked in fine parallel strokes. Under the paws the pumpkin grins wide, triangle eyes and jagged mouth glowing orange from inside.

A huge moon fills the rest of the disc in rust and burnt copper, cratered and blotchy. The outer ring is dark pewter, studded with rivet heads and filled with iron scrollwork, curling vines and a scatter of smaller lit pumpkins along the bottom. All of that depth, from the ridged gourd to the raised fur, is printed flat, so the panel stays smooth and weighs almost nothing.

Put it on the front door for October with a bowl of candy underneath, or over the fireplace where the copper picks up brass candlesticks and dried corn. The dark border keeps it from reading as a cartoon. Good for the cat person who starts hauling out the decorations the first week of September.
