Planchette Quilted Witch Hat – Gothic Spirit Board Rose Wide Brim Hat

The front of the cone is one large bone-coloured planchette, drawn in black filigree with garnet cabochons at its points. Its round window holds a gold crescent moon on a black starfield inside a tick-marked dial. A pale cream moth with dark eyespots and an amethyst body rests on each side of it. Above, a gold star, a crescent on an amethyst bead and a second crescent step up to the point, while red and purple roses and gold leaf vines wrap the base.

Four smaller bone planchettes sit evenly around the brim, each with a dark smoky cabochon, gold scrollwork and garnet points. Gold crescent moons and eight-point stars fill the panels between them, over wedges of plum velvet, wine velvet and black. Red velvet roses and trailing gold and burgundy leaf vines run across every panel out to the black bound edge.

For anyone who sits down with a spirit board on a dark evening, and for gothic wedding or Halloween wear that wants roses rather than pumpkins. The wide brim carries four more planchettes in full view.
