Nothing here is coloured. The whole disc is worked in pale grey, and the drawing does the rest. A horned owl faces you head on with wings thrown wide, every feather laid in ridges of light and dark. Its talons close over a bare skull that sits low and centred, jaw open.
Around them the panel fills with broad leaves, twisting stems and a scrolled arch above the owl's head. The edge is left plain so the eye stays on the bird. Read from across a room it looks like a stone plaque pulled off a crypt wall; up close the shadow is ink, not depth.
It suits a hallway, a study, or the wall above a Samhain altar where the owl and the skull are already part of the working. The grey takes on whatever light you give it, warm by lamplight and cold by a window. A safe gift for someone whose taste runs dark but not gaudy.
