The sky is mottled violet and plum, the ground burnt orange, and the whole surface is worn - patches rubbed back to white, heavy speckling, an aged edge that looks like an old enamel sign left out in the weather. This is a flat printed illustration: the distressing and the texture are part of the artwork, not damage to the panel.
